Rebuilt LEGO Model in 2023: BOI_Design 设计师/ BOI DESIGN STUDIO 
The LEGO Campus is a wonderful architecture project completed by C.F. Møller Architects in 2022, that embodies a vision of the future by integrating innovative architecture, sustainable design, and playful creativity, making it a model for forward-thinking workplaces. It's also one of the most favorite campuses which I'm looking forward to working in the future at LEGO Group, as a Product Model Designer.
1. Playful and Diverse Design
The design of LEGO Campus reflects the playful and imaginative spirit of LEGO products. The bright and flexible office spaces, along with the varied building forms, move away from uniformity, creating an environment that mirrors the multitude of possibilities in LEGO play. This concept celebrates diversity in architectural form, emphasizing the value of creativity in shaping future workspaces.
2. Fostering Innovation
The LEGO Campus is built around fostering a culture of innovation, particularly through its collaborative spaces. The "People House" serves as a social hub where employees can engage in a variety of activities that support physical and mental well-being. By blending spaces for work, play, and collaboration, the campus encourages a dynamic and informal atmosphere, essential for sparking creativity and innovation. This approach signals the future of workspaces, where flexibility and well-being are key to fostering innovation.
3. Sustainability
Sustainability is a central theme in the LEGO Campus, reflected in the choice of materials, energy efficiency, and biophilic design. Features like green roofs, rainwater collection systems, and durable, environmentally friendly materials like GRC (Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete) demonstrate a commitment to sustainable practices. Achieving Denmark’s 2020 energy certification, the complex sets a standard for eco-friendly building design, anticipating the future of sustainable architecture.
4. Integration with Nature
The LEGO Campus seamlessly integrates the building with the surrounding park and green spaces, providing outdoor meeting spaces, walking routes, and areas for play. This integration between the interior and exterior not only enhances employee well-being but also blurs the line between work and nature. The greenery seen throughout the complex creates a sense of openness and calm, which is increasingly recognized as vital for stimulating creativity and productivity in the workplace.
5. Human-Centric Architecture
The design prioritizes the experience of the people using the space. Social nodes, wayfinding markers, and creative stairways foster interaction and movement, promoting a sense of community and connection. This human-centric approach is key to future architectural design, where buildings are not just functional but serve to enrich the lives and experiences of their inhabitants.
6. Technological and Environmental Efficiency
The facade design maximizes daylight and minimizes cooling requirements, contributing to energy efficiency. This dual focus on aesthetics and environmental performance represents the future of smart building design, where architecture not only inspires visually but also functions optimally in terms of resource use.
7. Conclusion
The LEGO Campus exemplifies a highly effective "form" for designing a workplace that fosters creativity, collaboration, well-being, and sustainability—key elements for the success of LEGO employees. It reflects the brand's playful identity while providing a modern, inspiring, and forward-thinking work environment, ideal for nurturing innovation and satisfaction among employees.
